Man killed after helping fix a lawnmower. His friend heard people laughing before they shot him

A Georgia man has been charged in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting that claimed the life of an East Point resident who was helping a friend repair a lawnmower outside a home.

Authorities say the shooting left one man dead, another injured, and several children placed in danger after dozens of gunshots were fired into a residential area.

Victim Was Assisting Friend Before Attack

According to investigators, the shooting occurred on the night of April 13 on Ben Hill Road in East Point.
