A hospital in Decatur will soon become one of only two medical facilities in Georgia to offer a specialized endoscopic procedure thanks to multi-million-dollar renovations. Emory Decatur Hospital recently unveiled $4 million in improvements to its endoscopy center, converting 1,200 square feet of existing space into an advanced gastrointestinal (GI) procedure suite that will provide patients with new ways to test, diagnosis and treat diseases and illnesses affecting the stomach, intestines and more. “With the renovation, Emory Decatur Hospital GI physicians will be able to serve more patients with interventional and minimally invasive GI procedures using cutting edge technology in a specialized d comfortable environment,” said officials.
