ATLANTA, GA (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — Welcome to the first round of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs in Atlanta, where the odds of winning are more like testing your luck in Las Vegas.
Ever since the reconfiguration of the track two years ago, the final two turns of Atlanta play out more like a superspeedway, i.e. Daytona.
We talked to all 16 drivers this week and while they’re excited to get the playoffs going, they know this race is a little bit of an oddball on the schedule.
The Quaker State 400 from Atlanta Motor Speedway starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
