An incident of aggravated assault shook a Southeast Atlanta neighborhood during the early hours of October 31st, after a 12-year-old child was injured by gunfire. According to a report by the Atlanta Police Department, the assault occurred around 12:15 am at a residence on 2091 Lakewood Trail SE. Officers who responded to the scene discovered the young victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and a graze wound to the forearm. The child was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
