‘The most traumatic Christmas’ Family shares plea after fire damages DeKalb home during holiday

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A fire damaged a DeKalb County home on Christmas Day, according to officials in the fire department. Firefighters were on the scene at the Bouldercrest Road home around 1 p.m. According to DeKalb County Fire Battalion Chief Dion Bentley, the fire started in the backyard, and a trailer caught fire. It then spread to the back portion of the home, causing heavy damage.
