Metro Atlanta hospitals welcome first babies of 2025

Oh, baby! The newest metro Atlantans made an entrance in the wee hours of the new year at hospitals across the region.

Born at 12:27 a.m., Mara Farias just missed the countdown festivities. Weighing 9 pounds, 1 ounce, the little girl was born at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville to parents Trinity Salas and Luis Farias.

Piedmont Newnan welcomed a baby boy less than an hour later.

Drayden Fletcher was the first baby of 2025 born at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, to mom Angela Fletcher and dad CJ Fletcher, from Sharpsburg.

Drayden Fletcher was born at 1:11 a.m. weighing 7 pounds, 5.8 ounces. He’s the second child for mom Angela Fletcher and dad CJ Fletcher, from Sharpsburg.

A little girl came next, born at Piedmont Fayette at 2:07 a.m.

Jade Johnson, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces, was born to mom Jordan Johnson and dad Mark Mitchell.
