This speakeasy in downtown ATL is the place to be for exceptional cocktails and atmosphere

Atlanta’s downtown nightlife holds a secret. Tucked inside the historic Dailey’s building is a red British phone booth that conceals more than just nostalgia — it’s the portal to Red Phone Booth, one of the city’s most distinctive cocktail lounges. Since 2016, guests who dial the right code and step through its hidden door have discovered a space where craft cocktails, curated cigars, and warm hospitality come together under a timeless glow.

The vision belongs to Stephen de Haan, who first found his way into hospitality behind a bar while paying for his education at Georgia Tech. That job turned into a passion, and in his twenties he opened East Andrews in Buckhead, a multi-venue destination that helped shape Atlanta’s nightlife in the early 2000s. Within that complex sat his first hidden bar — Prohibition — a precursor to what Red Phone Booth would eventually become. When East Andrews was sold, de Haan carried the lessons forward and set out to create the version he had always imagined.
