Atlanta’s downtown nightlife holds a secret. Tucked inside the historic Dailey’s building is a red British phone booth that conceals more than just nostalgia — it’s the portal to Red Phone Booth, one of the city’s most distinctive cocktail lounges. Since 2016, guests who dial the right code and step through its hidden door have discovered a space where craft cocktails, curated cigars, and warm hospitality come together under a timeless glow.
The vision belongs to Stephen de Haan, who first found his way into hospitality behind a bar while paying for his education at Georgia Tech. That job turned into a passion, and in his twenties he opened East Andrews in Buckhead, a multi-venue destination that helped shape Atlanta’s nightlife in the early 2000s. Within that complex sat his first hidden bar — Prohibition — a precursor to what Red Phone Booth would eventually become.
