On Jan. 19, Martin Luther King Jr. Day honors the visionary’s legacy with meaningful events and community connections.
January celebrations span from The King Center’s programs and Nonviolence365™ trainings to a commemorative service at Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s King Celebration concert. Morehouse College hosts talks, films and service opportunities, while the Atlanta History Center’s “I Influence the Dream” offers exhibits and expert talks. Atlantans can also give back through various local volunteer projects, tree plantings or community service.
