Police say search warrant at DeKalb home leads to large amount of drugs, weapons found

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A search warrant led to dangerous weapons and drugs being taken off the streets, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Investigators with the department executed a drug search warrant on Jan. 29 in the 3400 block of Flint Avenue, and when officers arrived, they say several suspects ran away from the residence.

Six suspects were detained, and as police searched the home. Officers found:

  • 17 Firearms (Ghost guns, rifles, and handguns)
  • Armor-Piercing Bullets
  • 445 Ecstasy Pills
  • Promethazine
  • Mushrooms
  • More Than 10 lbs. of Marijuana
  • An Undetermined Amount of U.S. Currency

DeKalb Police says that this should remind criminals who bring drugs and guns into the community that “DKPD will find you and DKPD will stop you.”…
