Atlanta, Georgia – Georgia heads into the Feb 5–9 period under a persistent cold and mostly dry weather pattern, with limited chances for rain or winter precipitation statewide but temperatures running below normal for early February. While snow and ice risks remain minimal across most of Georgia, the prolonged chill is expected to be more impactful, especially during overnight and early morning hours.
According to the National Weather Service and NOAA’s 6–10 day outlooks, below-normal temperatures will continue to dominate the eastern half of the country, stretching from the Mid-Atlantic and New England down the I-95 corridor and into the Deep South, including Georgia.
