SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — A 2-year-old was shot and killed in Sandy Springs on Wednesday, police confirmed to 11Alive’s Cody Alcorn.
In a release, the Sandy Springs Police Department said they responded around 2 p.m. to the 2600 block of Sandalwood Drive.
“Upon arrival, officers and emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures; however, the child was pronounced deceased on scene,” a police statement said. “This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
