COVINGTON — An investigation into a Jan. 1 aggravated assault at the Circle K on Salem Road led to the arrests of four people.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigated the incident that involved two groups of people outside the convenience store. The investigation revealed that one group began shooting at the other before all of them fled the scene. No injuries were reported; however, a nearby fuel truck was damaged.
