Joseph James Ryan, 36, of Atlanta, is accused of arson on March 3 at 1:57 a.m. at a townhouse at 1006 Creatwood Circle in Smyrna, according to an arrest warrant from the Smyrna Police Department.
Smyrna Fire responded to the address for a vehicle fire involving a 2013 Infiniti. Upon arrival, the fire crew found the car with a fire in the engine compartment within close proximity to the townhouse causing additional damage to the residence, according to the warrant.
Police obtained video from the camera of a nextdoor neighbor that showed an individual around the vehicle with what appeared to be a gas can. The video shows the suspect walking away with a small fire on the ground next to the car igniting vapors that catch the car on fire, according to the warrant…
