A man who stepped in to break up an argument early Wednesday ended up stabbed and in the hospital, according to DeKalb County police.
Officers were called to the 2700 block of Tilson Road at about 1 a.m., where they found the victim. Police say he told officers he had been stabbed by one of the people involved in the dispute. He was conscious and alert when first responders arrived and was taken to a hospital in DeKalb County.
A second person was detained at the scene and also taken to a hospital for injuries that police say were unrelated to the stabbing. Authorities have not released the identities of anyone involved or offered a possible motive.

According to Atlanta News First, DeKalb County officers spoke with the victim at the scene, where he reported being stabbed after trying to intervene in the argument.
