ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Tucker officials and residents will get their chance to hear from the DeKalb County School District on possible school closures on Monday.
At the city’s April 13 meeting, which began at 7 p.m., DeKalb Schools Chief of Access and Opportunity Triscilla Weaver will address the community on the county’s Student Assignment Program, or SAP.
Though nothing has been finalized – and likely won’t be until late fall at the earliest – the plan would close down 20 DeKalb County schools that are not at capacity. The students at the schools on the final list would be consolidated at another school in the district…
