Denver weather: Rain and thunderstorms return for the workweek

DENVER (KDVR) — After a dry end to the weekend, more rain and thunderstorm chances return to Denver’s weather forecast for the workweek.

Denver weather tonight: Partly cloudy, mild

Sunday night will stay partly cloudy and mild. Low temperatures will fall to 50 degrees, which is right in line with normal for this time of year.

Monday will start off with plenty of sunshine.

Then, as high temperatures climb toward 80 degrees, clouds will increase ahead of rain showers and thunderstorms.

Some thunderstorms, especially in northeastern Colorado, could become strong to severe during the afternoon and evening, producing strong wind gusts, large hail and isolated tornadoes.

Looking ahead: More storm chances, warmer

Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast as afternoon high temperatures climb into the 80s.

Most of the Front Range and high country will see a general risk of thunderstorms, but strong to severe storms are possible in eastern Colorado.

There is a chance for afternoon thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday as high temperatures climb to the low to mid-80s. A warming trend with high temperatures climbing to the upper 80s will move in Friday through the weekend as the chance for showers becomes more spotty…
