DENVER (KDVR) — Overnight flooding in Evergreen caused by heavy rainfall has caused a lot of damage to private property, and emergency responders are warning residents to be cautious Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in Boulder overnight issued a flood warning for the Bear Creek area after localized heavy rainfall of up to 3.5 inches in Evergreen. Evergreen Fire Rescue Thursday morning reported a surge in Bear Creek with a volume higher than the historic flooding in 2013 that ripped through many parts of the state.
The agency said no injuries have been reported yet, but crews responded Thursday to many reports of mud and rockslides and damaged and washed-out private bridges and are still looking for impacts from the flood…
