Montbello Pedestrian Hospitalized in Peoria Street Crash, Fourth Serious Wreck in Days

A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle near North Peoria Street and East 47th Avenue in Montbello, marking the second serious crash on this stretch of road in less than a week. It remains unclear whether the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk, whether speed or impairment played a role, or whether any citations will follow. Those questions are expected to be addressed as the department’s investigation continues.
