The Flat Tops Wilderness may be a bit of a drive from the Denver metro area, but hiking here means uncrowded trails, uniquely shaped mountains and lots of lakes.
While many hikers backpack here, we decided to stick to day hikes. The Mandall Lakes is a great area to get some mileage while enjoying multiple lakes, meadows, wildflowers, aspen groves and views of the Flat Top mountains.
