DENVER (KDVR) — Everybody knows that firefighters have to be ready to slide into action at any given moment. Whether it’s responding to a medical emergency, preventing a fire or taking daring photos for a calendar, firefighters always have something to do — but just how busy can they get?
The Denver Fire Department showed how rapidly emergencies can happen in a short period, with crews responding to four major incidents in about three hours in a single afternoon.

“These incidents highlight the skill and commitment of our firefighters,” said Acting Chief Kathleen Vredenburgh in a press release. “Managing multiple incidents requires the best training and adaptability across all ranks, from our firefighters to incident commanders. I want to extend my appreciation to our firefighters for their exceptional work and dedication.”
Incident No. 1 — 12:59 p.m.
The first of the four incidents occurred at 12:59 p.m., when firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in the 180 block of South Clarkson Street.
