The Greenwich abruptly announced that had closed for good on Sunday night, Oct. 18, ending a five-year run on Larimer Street in RiNo.
“Despite efforts from our wonderful team, the business was never able to find its footing after I took the reins in January,” Drew Davis wrote in an Instagram post. “For this, I accept full responsibility. We are navigating the same challenges that restaurants across the city are facing and I made mistakes that only compounded these difficulties.”
The restaurant, located at 3258 Larimer St., was originally founded in 2021 by longtime Denver restaurateur Delores Tronco, who had previously opened Work & Class. After selling her stake in that restaurant, she moved to New York for a spell, but returned to Denver to open the Greenwich as a “love letter to NYC,” bringing along veteran NYC chef Justin Freeman as to lead the kitchen.
