DENVER ( KDVR ) — It’s still undecided whether the U.S. Supreme Court will allow Colorado to remove former President Donald Trump from the primary ballot. Despite that case, ballots will be mailed out Monday.
Ballots for the 2024 presidential primary will be in your mailbox soon, and the 24-hour ballot drop-off boxes are now open in Denver.
Primary election rules
Colorado voters who are affiliated with either major party will get a ballot only from the party with which they are affiliated.

All unaffiliated voters will get both a Republican and a Democrat primary ballot, but they can only turn in one.
If you’re affiliated with a minor party, you will not receive a ballot for this primary election.
Will Trump be on the ballot?
As of Monday morning, the U.S. Supreme Court is still deciding whether Trump is ineligible to appear on the Colorado presidential primary ballot.
A University of Denver law professor, Ian Ferrell, thinks the court’s ruling will set a precedent on whether or not individual states can use a specific part of the 14th Amendment against Trump or anyone else.
