The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on the ongoing investigation into the origins of the Stone Canyon Fire and the associated fatality. According to Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the fire, which started on July 30, claimed the life of an individual whose identity is currently unknown. The human remains were discovered in the vicinity of a home on the 2600 block of Eagle Ridge Road. As the fire raged outside the town of Lyons, it swept through homes, including that of a reported missing 74-year-old male, claimed completely by conflagration.
