Projected $985,000 Star QB Sends 1-Word Message to Colorado as Rumors Swirl

The Colorado Buffaloes are looking to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in a college football battle for one of the nation’s top quarterbacks. Deion Sanders has a slight problem as one of the nation’s top quarterback prospects for 2025 may not share the same feeling.

Colorado has been pushing to land a five-star quarterback who has already committed to Alabama. Despite all the efforts, it looks like the signal-caller is still heading to Tuscaloosa.

The Buffaloes were hoping to get the No. 3 rated quarterback in the 2025 class to Boulder for an official visit. It looks like Keelon Russell has other ideas.

“Nah,” Russell told Rivals.com when asked about a potential Colorado visit amid Coach Prime’s interest in landing the quarterback.

Russell made it clear that his commitment to Alabama is strong. On3.com projects Russell’s NIL value to be $985,000. The Duncanville, Tex. product is already aiming to bring other top players with him to Tuscaloosa.

“He’s pretty much locked in [to Alabama],” the quarterback’s father Brian Russell told On3.com’s Steve Wiltfong . “He’s been recruiting those other kids.”
