Deion Sanders Discusses Travis Hunter’s Injury in Impactful Postgame Comments

The Colorado Buffaloes fought hard but ultimately fell short, losing 31-28 to the No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats . Head coach Deion Sanders emphasized their efforts in the postgame discussion, but the absence of star player Travis Hunter proved critical.

Hunter exited the game with a shoulder injury and did not return, leaving a significant gap on both offense and defense. The Buffaloes also faced challenges with wide receiver Jimmy Horn, who left the game due to injury.

Sanders commented postgame on the impact of not having Hunter and Horn available for the rest of the game after leaving in the first half.

“Certainly, losing Travis and Jimmy [Horn] and others was tremendous because they’re a vital part of our team, a vital part of our identity. They’re a vital part of who we are. So that took a blow. That took a lot out of us.”

Sanders mentioned that he hasn’t received significant updates on the statuses of Travis Hunter or Jimmy Horn. However, he did note that Horn was seen in a walking boot after the game.
