Denver NYE fireworks to be ‘higher, brighter,’ officials say

In proper Mile High City fashion, Denver plans to bring the boom atop two downtown rooftops to usher in 2025.

Whether you’re hitting the hay early or celebrating on through midnight, there are two opportunities for watching downtown fireworks Tuesday. At 9 p.m. and midnight, a nine-minute fireworks show will simultaneously shoot off atop the historic Sheraton hotel and U.S. Bank building in downtown Denver.

Denver began its annual rooftop fireworks display in 2000.

This year’s show expects to be “higher” and “brighter” compared to New Year’s Eve fireworks in past years, according to Zambelli Fireworks Operations Manager Zach Taminosian and city partners.

When the time comes, Taminsoian will trigger the display with a computerized software.
