A child reportedly fell about 50 feet into a missile silo in Colorado and had to be rescued Wednesday.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said dispatchers were called around 3:45 p.m. for a report that a youth fell into a silo near a reservoir in Aurora, Colorado, CBS News reported.
At the time, three people were exploring the area when the child plummeted 40 to 50 feet into an exhaust vent filled with 4 feet of water, metal and other debris. The youth was injured in the fall, according to the report.

Fire rescuers airlifted the child to a hospital where they were in stable condition, according to CBS. An adult and two youths face trespassing charges.
This comes after several teens fell into a missile silo in Arapahoe County . In May, several teens needed to be rescued after falling into an abandoned silo, KDVR reported. In that incident, a teen was critically hurt after falling 30 feet and also had to be airlifted.
