After 50 Years, This Beloved Denver Diner Is Serving Its Last Stack of Pancakes

There are just some restaurants that are known for certain things. If you have ever lived in the Denver Metro Area, or known anyone who has, you probably know about a popular breakfast diner that has been around a half a century.

Soon, this restaurant that has been operating for 50 years will close for good. The Breakfast Inn in Denver, Colorado, has been recognized for many years as one of, if not the best, place to get pancakes in the Mile High City.

On June 8, 2025, the iconic Breakfast Inn located at 6135 East Evans Avenue will serve its last stacks of pancakes to hungry patrons. The announcement of the closure of the Breakfast Inn came via Instagram by the owner, David Frieder.

It comes with great sadness to share with the community that the Breakfast Inn will be closing permanently on June 8th at 2 p.m. After a year of fighting the good fight, our lease was not renewed, and the property has been sold…
