DENVER (KDVR) — A real estate development group announced on Tuesday that its low-income housing project in Denver’s Uptown neighborhood has been awarded tax credits that will allow it to “move swiftly” toward construction.
Gorman & Company said the complex, coined “The Tapestry,” was awarded a “competitive” 9% low-income housing tax credit, a state affordable housing tax credit and a transit-oriented community credit by the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.

The Tapestry is set to be located at the corner of 18th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street. The five-story building will have 72 apartment homes, including layouts ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, the company said.
