Aurora man sentenced after robbery, kidnap, assault of hotel employee in 2020

DENVER (KDVR) — An Aurora man was sentenced to 99 years to life in prison after he robbed, kidnapped and sexually assaulted a hotel employee in 2020.

The Office of the 18th Judicial District Attorney said Khafre Buxton, 37, was sentenced to 99 years to life in prison after a jury convicted him of two counts of second-degree kidnapping, sexual assault, two counts of aggravated robbery, first-degree burglary, unlawful sexual contact and violent crime sentence enhancer.

This comes after a spree of violent crimes committed less than a week before Christmas in 2020…
