Man accused of threatening people with machete at a popular Denver park

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police say they have arrested a man who was going after people with a machete on a popular running trail near downtown Denver.

Runner Daniel Workman said a man with a machete went at him on a trail north of Confluence Park Monday morning.

Out-of-state hikers rescued after being stranded on Colorado peak overnight

“As I passed, he lunged out from right there with a machete (and) barely missed me,” Workman said, gesturing off the side of the trail.
