The street gang leader who orchestrated a series of drive-by shootings across the Denver metro area and glorified the violence in YouTube rap videos was sentenced Friday to serve more than three decades in prison, according to court records and the Denver District Attorney’s office.
Phillip Baca Sr., 44, was the last of 11 members of the “Few But Plenty” gang indicted in 2022 following a sweeping investigation known as Operation Ricochet, which focused on a series of drive-by shootings that occurred between 2019 and 2022.
The DA’s Office said the gang was responsible for dozens of shootings that targeted rivals, many of which endangered or injured innocent bystanders.
