24-year-old Aurora woman shot, takes self to hospital late Friday night

DENVER (KDVR) — A 24-year-old Aurora woman took herself to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound late Friday night, following a shooting at the intersection of East 17th Avenue and Biscay Street.

The Aurora Police Department said it received a call from the woman’s mother at about 11:45 p.m. Friday night, informing them that her adult daughter had arrived home with the gunshot injury before taking herself to the hospital.

Responding officers went to the hospital and the home and located a shooting scene near the residence, according to the APD, which said a preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was the result of an argument between the victim and four suspects.

The APD said there is no description of the suspects at this time and that no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the APD through Metro Denver Crime Stoppers…
