Thermal imaging helps find suspects hiding in Westminster attic

DENVER (KDVR) — SWAT used thermal imaging on a Westminster apartment to find and take multiple suspects, one wanted in an armed robbery, into custody.

The Westminster Police Department said officers were originally tracking a suspect in an armed robbery with several felony warrants last week. The search led to an apartment near the 500 block of West 123rd Avenue, just down the road from Willowbrook Park.

With the help of thermal imaging, all three suspects were safely taken into custody, as well as another person on the scene who was also wanted on warrants.
