WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (KDVR) — The American Motel along the Interstate 70 Frontage Road is now closed and coming down soon.
The motel is part of a stretch along the I-70 and Kipling corridor that’s known as Wheat Ridge’s Hotel District.

“It has been an area of community concern for quite some time for quality of life issues, but also for crime for our police department as well,” Wheat Ridge Police Department Public Information Officer Alex Rose said.
