Colorado hospital ordered to pay spine patient $3.2M

Denver-based AdventHealth Porter was ordered to pay a spine surgery patient almost $3.2 million after he accused employees of dropping him after surgery, the Denver Post reported July 21.

The 82-year-old man filed his lawsuit in Denver District Court, alleging he was dropped when staff tried moving him from a CT scanner platform to a bed, the report said. He had a spinal fusion at the hospital in March 2024 and filed his lawsuit in February.
