CSP: Alleged wrong-way driver arrested in deadly crash on US 285

DENVER (KDVR) — A man has been arrested following a deadly crash reportedly involving a wrong-way driver on U.S. 285 northbound south of Morrison in July.

Colorado State Patrol in a press release said that Michael Colson, 33, was arrested on Monday for allegedly driving the wrong way in the crash that killed two people.

On July 21 at around 5:19 a.m., CSP said it had responded to a deadly crash involving three vehicles on U.S. 285 near milepost 249, where initial reports said the crash was due to a possible wrong-way driver.

The patrol had later confirmed that a 33-year-old was allegedly driving in an Acura RL south in the northbound lanes when he had collided with a Cadillac CTS. The driver of the Cadillac was a 59-year-old male and the passenger was a 64-year-old female…
