Chicken restaurant to open 1st national location in Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — A fast-food restaurant chain has gained popularity and announced plans to debut the concept on a national level, with the first locations outside of California coming soon to Colorado.

The restaurant Starbird serves crispy chicken in various forms, like chicken strips or wings, in sandwiches and on salads. The first location opened in 2016, and today the chain has 18 locations throughout the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas.

The company describes itself in a press release as one of the nations first “super-premium fast-food concepts,” with chef-driven recipes, quality ingredients, high-tech convenient ordering and more.

The company said that it saw an opportunity in Denver with the Mile High City’s growing reputation as a nationally recognized dining scene.

Starbird said it plans to open a restaurant in Denver, and another in Castle Rock later. The Denver restaurant will be 2,435 square feet and will have three ordering kiosks, dedicated pickup shelves and a streamlined delivery system…
