Arvada residents reflect after evacuations lifted for about 12-acre fire

DENVER (KDVR) —  The Arvada Police Department said that mandatory evacuations and pre-evacuations have been lifted after reporting that fire agencies have full containment of a fire in an Arvada neighborhood.

At least three different agencies, including the Arvada Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, are on the scene of a “large house” or “grass fire” on Thursday.

The fire had prompted previous evacuation notices for homes near West 84th Ave and Quaker Circle. The Arvada agency also said previously that nearby residents in Leyden Ranch from Orion Way to Moss Circle should be prepared to evacuate…
