First suspect in $4.2 million jewelry store robbery pleads guilty

DENVER — A recently filed plea agreement in federal court reveals that one of the suspects seen on camera storming a family-owned jewelry shop has pleaded guilty to two federal charges.

Records show Newman Castillo-Delgado has agreed to plead guilty to robbery and brandishing a weapon while storming the Joyeria El Ruby shop at 38th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in June 2024.
