DENVER (KDVR) — Four Denver Public Library branches set to receive bond-funded upgrades will be temporarily closed by the end of the year, in preparation for the renovations.
DPL said Friday that the branches — including the Hampden Branch Library, Ross-Broadway Branch Library, Eugene Field Branch Library and Ross-University Hills Branch Library — are being “taken offline” by the end of the year, partially as a cost-saving measure in response to budget reductions.

“We know the public relies on us for services, and we are exploring many creative ways to bring library service to the impacted neighborhoods during this time,” said Nicolle Davies, city librarian and executive director, in a statement. “We appreciate the flexibility of our library staff at locations that will be undergoing bond renovations in the coming year.”
DPL noted all four of the branches were already slated to temporarily close by mid next year due to the bond renovations, with closures of the Hampden Branch Library and Ross-Broadway Branch Library already planned for 2025…
