Denver outranks Chicago and Dallas in new foodie city ranking

The food scene in Colorado has undergone significant growth over the past couple of decades. Denver, in particular, has become one of the hottest spots in the nation for trendy and tasty restaurants to call home.

Those of us who have lived in Colorado for quite some time know how special the food scene is here, from our local cuisine featuring green chile, bison, and more, to international tastes that you might not be able to find anywhere else. Colorado truly has it all when it comes to satisfying your taste buds.

Denver Rises as a National Foodie Destination

The Mile High City is running with the big dogs like Miami, San Fansisco, Austin, and Atlanta in a new ranking put out by WalletHub. Denver has ranked in the top 15, and some of the cities that Denver ranks higher than are quite impressive.

Ranking 12th place overall, Denver beat out world-renowned cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Washington, DC, and even a city that is known worldwide as a major foodie capital. Yep, Denver beat out New York City.

Denver wasn’t the only Colorado city on the list in the top 100, either. Aurora, Colorado, ranked 48th, and Colorado Springs placed 67th. Sadly, none of the cities in Northern Colorado made the list, but there is always next year.
