Aurora police: Dirt bike involved in deadly Monday night crash was not street legal

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — Aurora police released new details regarding a deadly dirt bike crash that took place Monday night on East 6th Avenue near Toledo Street.

The crash comes just a week after the city of Aurora passed an ordinance addressing illegal off-highway vehicles on the streets. The Monday night crash happened around 7:40 p.m.

Aurora police say a dirt bike hit a truck that was making a left turn. The department told FOX31 on Tuesday that the bike was not street legal and did not have headlights, taillights or turn signals.
