Man charged in connection with Thornton teacher stabbing

THORNTON, Colo. — The man accused of stabbing a teacher last week outside a Thornton school has been charged with first-degree attempted murder.

Damien Brooks, 31, was arrested in connection with the stabbing of a Meadow Community School instructor on Oct. 23. Thornton Police said the teacher, a man, was stabbed just after 3 p.m. at the entrance to the school parking lot.

The school district has not identified the victim. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening…
