DENVER (KDVR) — A Columbine Valley police officer is being disciplined after he was caught on video using Flock cameras to wrongly accuse a Denver woman of theft.
In late September, Sgt. Jamie Milliman was videoed on a resident’s doorbell video issuing Chrisanna Elser a summons to appear in court and accusing her of stealing a $25 package in the town of Bow Mar. Milliman said he had doorbell video of the theft and tracked her car using Flock cameras.

However, Elser wasn’t there. She was later able to prove that she didn’t steal the package through dash camera footage from her car, a Google Maps location log and doorbell video. Weeks later, Columbine Valley Police Chief Bret Cottrell voided the summons. While Elser was able to get her summons revoked, she said she should’ve never been accused in the first place.
