A cat was the only victim of a fire at a Lakewood apartment complex Saturday morning that displaced about 30 people.
The fire occurred in a second-story apartment near the intersection of Lamar Street and West 13th Avenue in Lakewood, according to social media posts from West Metro Fire Rescue. The agency first was notified of the fire around 6:40 a.m. Saturday, a spokesperson for West Metro confirmed Saturday morning.
