At the onset of cold weather, Denver’s Department of Housing Stability plans to open its shelters Black Friday.
It’s the second time this week HOST has opened its cold weather shelters. The shelters opened Tuesday night after it dipped below 25 degrees overnight in Denver into Wednesday morning. The shelter will open again after 1 p.m. Friday and “will remain open as long as cold weather conditions continue,” according to city officials.
