Colorado reacts to mass shooting in Australia

DENVER (KDVR) — On Sunday, at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, authorities reported that a father and son opened fire on a group of people celebrating the Chanukah by the Sea event for the start of the eight-day Hanukkah festival.

The shooting killed 15 people, including a child, ranging in ages from 10 to 87. At least 42 more people were injured, with several of them in critical condition at the hospital, according to New South Wales Premier Chris Minns.

One of the gunmen, a 50-year-old man, was shot and killed by police, while the other shooter, his 24-year-old son, was wounded and is being treated at a hospital, according to New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon.
