Woman seen on school bus abusing special needs children expected to plead guilty

LITTLETON, Colo. — Nearly two years after a video went viral showing a bus aide abusing non-verbal children on a school bus, the criminal case against Kiarra Jones is expected to reach a significant moment with a guilty plea on Monday.

While a plea deal hasn’t been officially documented in court paperwork, 9NEWS Investigates has learned Jones is expected to plead guilty to 12 counts – 10 felony counts for abusing at-risk children and two misdemeanor counts. One count of the 13 charges she currently faces is expected to be dismissed as part of the plea deal.
