Highway Heroes Rescue Lost Husky In Colorado

A team of Colorado Department of Transportation workers are being praised as heroes after rescuing a young Husky puppy that escaped onto a busy Interstate after a storm damaged his family’s fence.

The heartwarming rescue unfolded on Interstate 70 near mile marker 241 in Idaho Springs after high winds damaged the wooden fence, allowing the Husky to wander free from his yard.

The CDOT crew was traveling westbound on I-70 when they spotted the lost dog and immediately took action, using their vehicles to temporarily halt traffic in the westbound lanes to ensure the animal’s safety…
